2012년 5월 19일 오늘 이 자리에 모인 우리 세계 자동차 노동자들은 한국의 노동자민중과 함께 36세의 나이로 세상을 떠난 쌍용자동차노동자 이윤형 동지를 추모합니다. 이로써 쌍용자동차 정리해고와 관련하여 22번째의 희생자가 생겨났습니다. 더 이상의 희생자가 나오지 않도록 방안을 강구하는 것이 긴급한 상황입니다.
우리는 쌍용자동차를 인수한 마힌드라에게 다음과 같이 책임성을 보여 줄 것을 촉구합니다:
- 금속노조와 대화를 시작해야 합니다.
- 유가족들에게 조의를 표해야 합니다.
- 2009년에 억울하게 공장에서 쫓겨나간 쌍용자동차 노동자들을 모두 복직시켜야 합니다.
이것이 쌍용자동차의 연이은 즉음을 막아낼 수 있는 유일한 방법입니다.
더 나아가, 한국정부에게 다음과 같이 촉구하는 바입니다:
- 쌍용자동차의 회계조작과 정리해고 진상규명을 위해 국정조사를 실시하라!
- 77일간 파업당시 노동자들에게 가해진 국가폭력에 대해 사죄하고 책임자 처벌하라!
- 22명의 죽음에 대해 사죄하고 쌍용자동차 해고노동자들을 복직시켜라!
- 억울하게 구속된 노동자를 석방하고 손배가압류 등 노동탄압 중단하라
19개국에서 100만 명 자동차 노동자들을 대표하여 이 자리에 참석한 우리 세계 자동차 노동자들은 금속노조 쌍용자동차지부의 지속적인 투쟁이 승리하는 그날까지 지속적인 연대를 약속합니다.

"Together with the Korean workers and people gathered on 19 May 2012, the auto workers of the world mourn the death of 36-year old Ssangyong Motor worker, Comrade LEE Yoon Hyeong. His death is the 22nd in a series of deaths related to the Ssangyong Motor mass dismissals of 2009; it is a matter of urgency to prevent the death of a 23rd victim. We call on Mahindra & Mahindra to live up to its responsibility it has assumed by taking over Ssangyong Motor by :
- engaging in dialogue with the Korean Metal Workers' Union,
- apologizing to the bereaved families, and
- reinstating all the Ssangyong Motor workers unjustly pushed out of the company in 2009.
This is the only way to stop the series of deaths at Ssangyong Motor.
Further, we call on the South Korean government to :
- carry out a full parliamentary investigation to bring to light the truth regarding falsification of accounts at Ssangyong Motor for mass dismissals
- apologize for the state violence against the workers in the 77-day strike in 2009 and punish those responsible
- apologize for the 22 deaths and reinstate all the dismissed Ssangyong Motor workers
- free the unjustly imprisoned and stop labor repression such as the damages claims suits and provisional seizure of workers' assets.
Representing a million autoworkers from 19 countries around the world, we pledge our continued solidarity to bring the continuing struggle of the KMWU Ssangyong Motor branch to victory.
